Cuttle the fish

The aquarium was ridiculously crowded--thanks in no small part to people like us trying to escape the particulate-laden air in the bay area.  This is not the first time we've spent money as temporary climate refugees, and I know it will not be the last.  The tentacles exhibit is awesome, but whenever I get lost in the rhythmic beauty of aquatic life, I also become overwhelmingly melancholic.  Living at the end of the democratic experiment on a dying planet does that to you, I guess.
