If this is heaven, then send me home

"It isn't like having a flour-sack baby in HomeEc!" --7th Heaven character and victim of teenage pregnancy (ie not abstinence)

That was just one of many forgettable moments on that WB staple, 7th Heaven.

Also, note to self: If I ever have lispy twin boys who speak in unison, I have made a terrible mistake in parenting.

Things salvaged from the cast-off room at work:

  1. Beautiful rusty marble colored lazy-susan for all of my desk supplies (takes up about 25% of my desk)
  2. New pencils!
  3. Large metal tape dispenser for all of my taping needs (about 5lbs.)
  4. Staple remover
  5. old rubber bands (fraying/breaking) and paper clips (rusting)

It's like shopping for free! Except in a poorly-lit, cluttered room where nothing works and there's a hidden video-camera to make sure I don't go overboard with the used office supplies. SO fascist.

Glamorous. I love what they can do with makeup! This photo is from my rodeo queen days when I would ride around on floats and make special-guest appearances at Wal-Mart and in commercials for the local tow truck company. My rodeo queen days came to a scandalous and sudden end when I was caught taking a drink of milk directly from a cow's udder.

Shouldn't we all live in EPA?

While riding home "Mr. Pink" from work today I noticed a soccer mom stepping out of her Kerry-bumper-stickered mini-van and suspiciously removing a political lawn sign from the side of the road. Maybe it's a sign of too much "Desperate Housewives", but I got the strange feeling that she was a political operative trying to remove any sort of Republican propoganda from beautiful Woodland Ave.

Got Blog?

As this is my first foray into the exciting new world of "blogging", I feel it is necessary to introduce my understanding of this phenomenon. For what I can gather by looking at other "bloggers", it seems to me that it's necessary to have one of the following exciting things or personality traits going on in my life to warrant blogging:

  1. lots of friends
  2. something insightful and/or witty to say about my everyday experiences
  3. a scandalous yet emotionally fulfilling love affair
  4. important election information
  5. know-how about useful stuff such as survivalism or cooking
  6. strong streak of exhibitionism
  7. journalistic instinct

Though I don't really have much of the above mentioned, I do, however, have the following subjects on which to offer blogging goodness:

  1. living in East Palo Alto (not your mother's Palo Alto)
  2. knitters block
  3. the pure love that exists, as a cat owner, for my furry ball of companionship, pumpkin
  4. love of all things TV (especially if the adjective "trashy" or "reality" can be placed in front of it) that can tend to be somewhat analytical of broad social themes
