Theo loves to dance. His moves, however, need some work, as he thinks dancing looks like rocking back and forth in a gentle headbanging motion. When we turn on the music in our living room, he immediately gets closer to a speaker and listens for the beat. Once he's found it, and therefore identified the noise as music and not NPR, he starts rocking. Today I put on my blues playlist from the summer, which has some really old recordings of early blues(wo)men--very scratchy and almost hard to hear. Theo was not in--he did not dance. It was only when Fannie Lou Hamer started singing "Go Tell it on the Mountain" that he started to groove on it. I love him so much.
This video is from September when he was dancing to the beat of his tent house doorbell.
