I saw an article today about how ridiculous those advice pieces are on “how to make marriages work", given the variation in person/relationship/culture. The article further points out that we should create our own categories for success. Without further ado, a few of the ingredients in my own personal recipe for a successful marriage:
1. Wife gets to choose brunch dish to split (always)
2. Partner with a willingness to travel alone/or with other people that aren't partner
3. Separate bank accounts
4. Encourages love of space/space movies and pursuit of space learning
5. Must like farts/fart jokes (non-negotiable)
6. Lover of early bedtime (no later than 9:30)
